FlashIt Repair Inc. (“FlashIt,” “we,” “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you use our website and booking platform, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
This policy applies to customers who book repairs through FlashIt. Partner Shop owners are also subject to separate shop agreements and may receive additional privacy notices during onboarding.
Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly and information generated when you use our services:
- Identity and contact: name, phone number, email address, and account password (stored securely via our authentication provider).
- Booking details: device make and model, repair type, symptoms, appointment time, shop selection, and booking reference number.
- Location: approximate or precise location when you search for shops or use map features (with your permission in the browser or device).
- Payment method: card details are collected and stored by Stripe; FlashIt receives tokens and limited billing metadata, not full card numbers.
- Communications: messages, support requests, and notification preferences.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, and usage logs to secure and improve the Platform.
How we use your information
We use personal information to operate the Platform and deliver the service you expect:
- Match you with Partner Shops and manage your bookings and appointments.
- Send booking confirmations, status updates, receipts, and warranty-related messages by SMS or email according to your preferences.
- Process payments and prevent fraud through our payment processor.
- Provide customer support and resolve disputes.
- Improve reliability, security, and product features through aggregated analytics.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only as needed to provide the service:
- Stripe — payment processing, card storage, refunds, and chargebacks.
- Resend — transactional and service emails.
- Google Maps — shop discovery, directions, and location autocomplete where enabled.
- Partner Shops — booking and contact details for appointments assigned to that shop only; shops do not receive access to your full account history at other locations.
- Service providers — hosting, authentication, analytics, and support tools bound by confidentiality obligations.
- Legal authorities — when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.
Data retention
We retain booking records, payment-related data, and account information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide support, honour warranties, meet legal and tax requirements, and resolve disputes.
When you request deletion, we will delete or anonymize personal information where we are not required to retain it by law or for legitimate business purposes (for example, completed transaction records).
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing.

Cookies and similar technologies

We implement administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and secure payment handling through Stripe. No method of transmission over the Internet is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
The Platform is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Material changes may be communicated by email or prominent notice where appropriate.
