Terms of Service

FlashIt Repair Inc. — British Columbia, Canada. Please read these terms carefully before using our booking platform.

Last updated: May 18, 2026

Agreement

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the FlashIt Repair website, mobile experiences, and booking platform (collectively, the “Platform”) operated by FlashIt Repair Inc. (“FlashIt,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a company incorporated in British Columbia, Canada.

By creating an account, submitting a booking, or otherwise using the Platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

Use of the Platform

FlashIt connects customers with independent repair shops (“Partner Shops”) that perform device repairs. FlashIt facilitates booking, communication, and payment but does not perform repairs itself unless expressly stated.

You agree to provide accurate contact information, device details, and appointment preferences. You may not misuse the Platform, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with other users, or use the Platform for unlawful purposes.

Booking process

When you book through FlashIt, you select a Partner Shop, time slot, and repair type. Your booking is confirmed when you receive a booking reference number and confirmation message.

Partner Shops may perform an in-store diagnosis. Labor, parts, and final pricing may differ from initial estimates based on your device condition. You will be asked to approve the final quote before repair work proceeds, except where emergency safety work is required by law or shop policy (you will be notified).

Payment terms

You may be asked to place a payment method on file through Stripe when booking. You are not charged for the repair until the Partner Shop completes diagnosis, provides a final quote, and you approve the charge in person or through the Platform as directed.

By approving payment, you authorize FlashIt and our payment processor to charge the approved amount to your card on file. Taxes, shop fees, and approved add-ons are included in the amount you authorize.

Receipts and transaction records are available in your customer account and via email where enabled.

Cancellation policy

You may cancel your booking at no charge at any time before the Partner Shop marks your repair as “In Progress.”

Once a repair is marked In Progress, cancellation does not entitle you to a refund because parts may have been ordered, opened, or installed. See our Cancellation & Refund Policy for details.

  • Free cancellation before repair status is In Progress.
  • No refund after repair is In Progress, subject to applicable law.
  • If a Partner Shop cannot complete your repair, a full refund will be issued as described in our refund policy.

Warranty

Repairs booked through FlashIt include a 12-month warranty on the repaired part as described on our Warranty page. Warranty claims are tied to your booking reference number.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, FlashIt and its officers, directors, employees, and agents are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising from your use of the Platform or any repair performed by a Partner Shop.

FlashIt’s total liability for any claim arising out of these Terms or the Platform is limited to the greater of (a) the fees you paid to FlashIt for the booking giving rise to the claim in the twelve (12) months before the claim, or (b) one hundred Canadian dollars (CAD $100), except where such limitation is prohibited by law.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or personal injury caused by our wilful misconduct where such limitation is not permitted.

Dispute resolution

We encourage you to contact us first at legal@flashitrepair.com so we can try to resolve concerns informally.

If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, you and FlashIt agree to attempt mediation in British Columbia before pursuing litigation, except where you may have rights under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in British Columbia for disputes subject to these Terms, except where mandatory consumer protection rules require otherwise.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Material changes may also be communicated by email or in-app notice where appropriate. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
